Hi all,
I'd be very interested if any of you know, what kind of things was announced by the crew on a DC-6, DC-3 and so on? Was there any kind of safety demonstration?
I just want to put together a new, realistic soundset for FSpassengers that suits my "vintage" wolrd.
thanx

I shall ask my mother. She was a flight attendant on DC3's, Viscounts and F27's.

I seem to recall reading in a few places that on the DC-3 flights the pilots just filled out a report form and it got passed around the cabin for everyone to read. T'was a bit noisy for PA announcements

Got a quick bit of info back. They did PA's on all the aircraft bearing in mind that initially there were no flight attendants on DC3's. The PA was a standard format and it was also a requirement to check that each passenger sitting in an exit row was suitable to be seated there.
Just seeing if we can get our hands on a copy of the safety briefings used.
And buffets were served on all flights over 60mins.
