Heres the latest fresh to Youtube. I'm pleased to say Peter's Mt Cook scenery works really well in FSX, just a road texture that needs to be fixed everything else is 100%, as you'll see if you check out this video.

This 3 minutes of your life takes you on a trip from NZMC to the summit of Aoraki/Mount Cook and back again in the FSX Maule 260C. It was a rough day for turbulence I have to say, and the Maule struggled a little, had to zig zag my way up and then fly spirals to finally get to the summit, it all added to the fun of the trip!

Thanks to Crazy_Craig for the music inspiration, like him I have chosen a Moby track, which spookily fitted perfectly once I decided to use it.

Dunno if your rig would handle AI too - try dropping in the 10 AI Squirrels and flying up to Peter's Porter up on Tasman Glacier.
I'm sure the Maule is as good as the FSD Porter for staying with the helos!
It gets quite buzzy...

Is that Maule operated in those colours in real life by Mt Cook or is that just some artistic licence you have used there?

Also, is Mount Cook airlines who fly the sight seeing flights from NZMC the same airline who operate the ATR for Air New Zealand link?

One more question- was the Christian's mesh and topo being used there in FSX, is it 100% compatable?

Thanks trolly, yes the Maule is artistic license, Mt Cook operate the Pilatus on these flights. Yes I believe its one and the same airline (please someone confirm), Christians mesh does work, 75 meter anyway, so would assume the 20? I think I recall seeing some shots months ago from someone who had the 20 installed. Don't know about the topo, don't use it.

i see the bug hit you nice one guys the trick is camera shots lots of them and good music to make up for frames etc... dont record sound add it later if you feel like it ,,,camera angles are real hard sometimes you get carryed away with something while you are trying to keep to the other shots etc... bla bla bla ,but try making a plan and keeping to it till its done ,nice video mate like i say keep it up ,

And also remembering that what looks really cool to you may be of limited interest to others, so as Natas said, mixing things up is really important to maintain interest.

For this particular vid I started out with 10mins of footage all set up in the software, then I go through and cull, sometimes entire sequences, but mostly tighten up the action so it flows and means something. A plan is also important, whats the story I want to tell. Also in this case the music came late, and lent itself at certain points for certain transitions, so I went back and re-edited to fit. The final video was about 40secs longer than anticipated because of the music, otherwise I try to aim for 2 and a half minutes.
