As Tauranga is my home-town, I thought it only fitting that my first videos be flying around NZTG.

I recorded these late last year, shortly after I discovered fraps, but have only just got around to uploading them now. The two clips are actually part of a larger clip (in all about 12 minutes long). But I though I'd upload these first to give you a taster.

Using FS9 with RBE 75m mesh and RealNZ Tauranga Scenery.

VIDEO - Departing NZTG - (3:47) a leisurely take-off, over the marina. Try not to giddy with the changing camera angle in spot view wacko.gif Next a gentle right turn, heading over the port towards the channel entrance to Tauanga harbour.

VIDEO - Landing NZTG - (4:22) tracking east along the BOP coastline, joing RH downwind 25R. All with the cockpit this time.

Enjoy!!!

Cheers,
Garrick

That was a very enjoyable watch Garrick- I had forgotten how nice the Tauranga scenery was.

BTW, if you are a fan of Cessnas and Virtual Cockpits- check out some of the payware craft Carenado have to offer ;)

Nice work Garrick and welcome to the forums. You must learn how to pronounce ToeRonga though . "Towelranga" just sounds wrong :P

As a fellow Tauranga-ite I agree that it's the best place to fly ... but I would say that :)

It's more like Dunna-din :P

There's always Whenuapapi, but I notice some of them get it right. Tough living in a blip on the world map...
