Hi guys
This flightsim movie making thing is turning out to be quite cool, are there any free programs I can use to edit em other than Windows movie maker?

Generally no. Most free applications do things like render, convert and extract video data, rather than offering editing options, special effects etc.

You can produce a pretty good video with Windows Movie Maker, but for more effects you really need a fuller featured program.

Sometimes you will get a program disc (like ULead) with the purchase of video camera or similar, ask around relatives and friends, perhaps they have something on disc they will never actually install.

Apart from that I can't offer any other options.

WMM is pretty good for a free editor, probably won't need anything more powerful for FS vids
there's always http://sourceforge.net/softwaremap/trov ... rm_cat=256, though I haven't tried any of those.

You'll often find computer mag cover discs will have alternatives for video editing, may pay to keep an eye out.

Yeah ive always used the default wmm for making them until i felt it worthy of getting some others softwares for the job ,adobe prem /sony vegas, and many others ,
but id stick with wmm for now as you only just started the movie making thing ,and wmm is the best platform to start with ....
