I had been to Bay Flight today (yes the home of ZK MAT) finally getting around to sorting out a PPL. As I passed by the Classic Flyers NZ aircraft musuem they were preparing a Harvard .

This very short film features a 1943 North American Harvard 3 #NZ1098 registered in NZ as ZK-ENJ. I got my 'G's and 'J's mixed up in the video ... ooops.

The video was taken with my low quality digital camera as short avi's, I only had a few sconds of room on the memory card, so I was unable to get the low-level passes on film that occurred soon after takeoff. I must get a digial video cam. It's amazing what you can make out of about 20 seconds of footage though lol. I managed to get Mike Alpha Tango in the vid too tongue.gif

Probably not the most fitting choice of music in hindsight ...

If a picture is worth 1000 words, then video is Mega.
That is soo good - hey guys I was just passing, look at this - that's what digital video is all about.
And a few glitzy transitions and video effects sure don't hurt the postcard.
AND, there's ZK-MAT, right where I parked it!!! B)

Wow! Great Graphics Matt

Seriously man, nice captures there, that Havard prop looked funny starting up aye :D

And how come there is a Warbirds dh Devon in the first frame?!?! I thought it crashed on landing on the way to a rugby game quite recently?

Keep up the good work at Splat productions!

The prop thing was funny, the camera fps made it look static... I can assure you it was spinning, quickly. The dog was in the car barking at the noise lol.

ZK KTT, a de Havilland DH104 Dove/Devon 1952 (info from nzwarbirds.org.nz) was taking passengers sightseeing. It landed after the Harvard took off so I guess it's still operating!

Here's another 'not a fs video' Link. As there are a few helo fans here it's a BF2 chopper strike :P

From Charl's Comprehensive Database on NZ Things with Wings: ;)
There should be 4 of these birds
ZK-KTT DH 104 Dove
ZK-UDO DH 104 Dove
ZK-UCO DH104 Devon C1
ZK-UFO DH104 Devon C1
Plus a half dozen airframes, a couple more at Wigram, and one in Ashburton
