Thursday night

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby AlisterC » Fri Dec 22, 2006 11:40 am

So here I am, wanting to go flying all day, and at about 7.30pm I finally sit down at the computer to go for a flight. Load servinfo, and see three active controllers on ivao controlling in New Zealand! So, I decided to give them some traffic. Brock in Wellington tower, Alex on NZ Centre, and James on Auckland approach.

That has to be one of the most fun hours of flying I've ever done around New Zealand (and I've done plenty!).

I managed to get the A330-200 out of Wellington with no problems (the 25knot wind probably helped) and had excellent control services from all three of you guys.

Thanks for your coverage! Thoroughly great, and I recommend it to all. It seems a big step to the offline flier (i've been there) but well worth it! Like hitting that perfect golf ball, or sinking that half court three pointer!

Cheers guys

Ah good, really it was all James' idea, he approached Brock and myself on messenger about three hours beforehand and said "lets all log on at half past 7". ;)

Possibly something to do in future as the IVAO Australia online day is on Thursday evening as well. :)

I'm pleased you enjoyed it so much Alister, it was great for us controlers haveing the traffic too :D

I had posted on the IVAO fourm saying the three posistions would be open but we only had you and anothor pilot come. Still good thow.

Me and Alex are going to try and be online controlling every thursday night for a few hours. Hopefully this should encourage more traffic :)

May we have many fun Thursday nights to come

Pleased to be of service Alistair! I would control more, but my current work is very tiring!
