Sunday Night Ops for 4th May - NZNV <--> NZCH <--> NZWN

This Sunday our SNO (Sunday Night Operations) is heading to Invercargill, NZ's southernmost city and the home airport of our new C-Cat Instructor Rated Pilot and VATNZ Training Director - Leon Gibbs.

With ATC booked all evening from Wellington to Southland, the challenge is there to pilots to keep the skies busy. In the real world Air NZ flies the ATR72 into NZNV, but feel free to fly whatever strikes your fancy. Pilots of jets should have time to do a return trip, complete with stops in Christchurch.

Pilots, book your planned flight schedule in vRoute to let everyone know how busy the skies over New Zealand will be.

  • Potential ATC Positions:
    NZNV_TWR - Invercargill Tower
    NZWN_TWR - Wellington Tower
    NZCH_TWR - Christchurch Tower
    NZWN_APP - Wellington Control
    NZCH_APP - Christchurch Control
    NZCH-W_CTR - Christchurch Control
    NZCH-N_CTR - Christchurch Control
    NZCH-S_CTR - Christchurch Control

Note: If you're providing ATC on the night, please give priority to these positions. They are not an exclusive list, but they are the ones that will see the most action this Sunday.

To reserve a particular ATC position, please post a message to that effect (including the times you expect to be online) in this thread. And also book your position using vRoute - large numbers of bookings in vRoute attract additional traffic.

* Charts/Airspace Info: Available from the VATNZ Airspace Reference site.

For more information, and to ask questions, see the original thread at the VATNZ website.
