FSX multi player meets

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby Ian Warren » Sun Feb 25, 2007 10:01 am

I Really had a great time last night , the confustion/chaos .. and would be very hard for a ATC tower to control , so they would maybe loose interest ? I dont no , but also for the people flyin within the airport area , i also dont n that .

Idea , what about creating a flight VFR/IFR chart/map based from existing airport area charts for realism , then adding a staging area for controllers to no and handle intercept , landing/takeoff/hold ?

One thing i mentioned during the little flyin was to stage over the Caketin ( we all now no were the flying was last night) , without thinkin few may not have scenery addons ,this is created idea for a d/l printable chart for all to use ?

:) ? maybe

This point that Tim has made can not be stressed enough.....

Everyone who wants to play Multiplayer FSX, Please!!!!!!! Try to get mic/headset ........

Chat box isn't checked that often and it will simply frustrate you and the other players. Mics haven't got a big price tag....cheaper than you may think.......mines worth $10......and goes fine!!!

In terms of voice I would sugest useing teamspeak, once everyone has it installed and working it is far clearer and easier to use than the fsx inubilt voice witch is very bad quality. Simply conecting with ts in no proablem, and can alow for comunication if you get the ever so comman disconection with in fs.

Just a thought...

Hey ya Monkey , IJW yes i am ... already created an easy to use within 5 A4 pages , bitta artistc mod and licence .... those cover the entire NZ region based from the old 98 mapping , as for scanning and recreating for all to use would be easy , ..idea get ATC maybe to request best area to put on to a chart , example .. rwy16 in cycle over caketin  not choice to be but look for a proper staging point for the crowds :) little testing and idea from all ? >nzflag<

Voice in general has always been very good in FSX, some issues with mic volume etc, but they are easy fixes.

I like the idea of teamspeak primarily because if FSX crashes or the server goes down we still have comms. The quick txt to the team we currently use also does a good job.

I prefer not to install another application, the FSX voice works really well.

I agree.....I have no problems with FSX voice comms. I have found it works very well on almost every server I've been on........including LAX with 60 or more aircaft/ATC controllers at once. Check your network settings.......look at voice compression......I found setting this to 3.6 works best.
