Hi

I have put up a South Island tour on the server. Here is the route, it features visits to 11 different airfields and covers 516 nautical miles.

The route.

Start at Nelson, fly to Karamea (* see below), Westport, Greymouth, Mount Cook, Glentanner, Wanaka, Milford Sound, Glenorchy, Te Anau, Gore and finally the Rivierera of the South, Invercargill!

There's no need to remember any of those airports, simply start at Nelson and type "?hop" in the chat window, you'll get you flight plan at that time.

Reminder:

The status page for the Multiplayer Server is:

http://fs.servegame.com/ - An easy way to see who is on the server and where they are in the FS world.

It will accept FS2002 / 2004 / FSX connections, to see what you need to connect visit:

http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/

Simply enter fs.servegame.com in the IP address part to connect.

EDIT: * Ummm, yeah, well it seems there is not really any Karamea in FSX default so it doesn't give you your next hop. I will delete it from the list of airports, sorry

I'm at Nelson in a Cessna at the moment. Nothing on TV at the moment will plan on departing in 15 - 20 mins, say 2045.

Nice moon there Kahu!

Thanks for being the Hop List beta testers Ian T and Kahu. We discovered that Karamea is not suitable. Ian had his own Photoreal scenery so he had the airfield, it was just a light screen strip for me. I was sinking in my Cessna.

But when I switched to a DC3 I was ok

Matt is this server still online? I don't seem to be able to get your status page to work.

Sorry mate, it's no longer running. There wasn't a lot of interest but if people want I can start it up again and leave it on. smile.gif

Edit: Takes two seconds to start so it's up again. Those who started the South Island hop list can resume where they left off, it will remember your position (see the status page for who is where on the hop list).

Never mind if you don't want to keep it up and running, I just remembered you posting so went looking for it. I'd like to do a flight or two with some friends who don't have vatsim or ivao interest, and flying together on an fshost server is the way to go really. With fshost spy we can find another if you wish to turn it off. I just figured since you mentioned it I would use yours smile.gif (my home internet in nelson can hardly be called broadband so hosting isn't an option)
I probably won't use the hop list as I don't fly around NZ much these days (been there, done that)
But yeah, thanks for turning it on again anyway!

I've just tried to connect, but "fs.servegame.com" doesn't fit in the fs2004 multiplayer ip address box - it can't fit the "m" on the end. Maybe no one could join your server? laugh.gif Shorter name required perhaps?

Edit: After some browsing around the forum here I see that the inspire.net server is still functional and online, so if you didn't want to leave yours running 24/7 for no one, I can just use that one smile.gif But up to you!
