It was a good go with many newbies , and with many problems - but things started to get sorted , first thing need tho for many was a simple and cheap desktop Microphone smile.gif

I had problems with my wifi router, than my video card started a little game I didn't want to play, so I just gave up after 2 hours of massive troubleshooting.
The video card problem was caused by the buffer pools tweak, and the Belkin router is on it's way back to its creators.... As Billy Connolly said "The key to happiness is to let go..."

Hello Chums... biggrin.gif ...!

I have joined in Multiplayer flights on various Sites for the past 10+ years, (and still do so , daily), using FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002, FS 2004, and CFS 2, but like many/most of my fellow Pilots, have always preferred using the "Chat Window" for communication.... biggrin.gif ....!
I have a full Headset, Headphones +Microphone, but having to re-arrange all the Audio connections around at the back of my Desktop Computer, at very short notice, to connect and join, is not worth the time and effort for me.... dry.gif ....!
An instant click and join, using the FS 2004 drop-down Connection Menu, (using the popular FS Host IP Addresses), does the job, in the minimum amount of time and frustration!
....plus the fact that Headphones make my ears hot and uncomfortable after a short while!... sad.gif ...!

So there you go Chums...
How popular would we; "Chat Window Blokes" be, joining in with the NZ Multiplayer Sessions?.... rolleyes.gif ....!

Often the fun part of Chat Window usage is is observing, and commenting, on each others typing errors, etc, during a last minute, frantic manoeuvre, for the rapidly approaching runway beneath us...and typing at the same time!.... unsure.gif ..... laugh.gif ...!
I/we presently use the Simviation, Worlds Serious Pilots, and Inspire (NZ), etc, FS Host Servers for my daily Multiplayer FS 2004 Flights.... clapping.gif ...!

It would be interesting to know the ratio of; "Teamspeak to Chat Window Pilots" amongst us all!.... ninja.gif ....!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator....and a nice clean Chat Window!... cool.gif ...!

P.S....Note; that FS 2004, and previous FS Versions, don't suffer from the same Multiplayer Connection problems that FSX users suffer, using "Gamespy?"....(we use FS Host)..... http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshostspy/

P.P.S....I also avoid the dreaded; "Port Opening Problems" in the Flight Simulators, associated with Routers, by using a simple ADSL, wired, USB, plug-and-play Modem...and NO Router!
