Alright, it's time to get down to brass tacks. All participants are required to have both the relevant aircraft and scenery or a decent substitute. Below I would love suggestions regarding displays and aircraft. If you have a particular aircraft in mind go ahead and throw it out there!
NOTE: Teamspeak is not optional, it is a requirement.

Its planned for April the third, following the below plan.
Start from Wigram where the RNZAF more or less started, we then proceed north along the coast to woodburn, touch and go the proceed accross the straight to wellington, flyover the airport follow around Evans bay into the harbour and flyover the beehive and follow the Hutt valley and then head north off to Ohakea. We'll camp up there for a while and have a buzz around (tbc) and once finished up their head off to NZWP for the main event.
I am fully open to modifications!

Im there. Have the scenery. Just need to get the right aircarft. At this stage only have the Dove. Need a few more hours practice before comittint to it. May need to try installing FS9 C130, P3 and 757 etc to FSX for different types.

Some clarification for MP newbies like myself would be useful -

Is it neccessary to have ALL a/c installed in order to participate? If so, is it better to reduce the number of types in order to encourage greater participation? Since alternatives are allowed does this meen that the alternative aircraft must also be installed in order to "see" other participants using these types?

Same question about sceneries?

Sorry about the dumb questions but if you dont ask.........

Like the concept but realistically I'm not going to get a lot of payware just to fill some of the gaps.

Cheers

It is required to have all install , which by compare to what i have on my FS system very little , and yes we are going to have to decide on scenery or else every one would be on different levels hence the flurry off activity within mesh fixs and postings in other threads current .

Am I correct in that if you fly one of those planes and everyone else has it then that is what they see. If you only have one of them then everbody else on your screen is a 172 ecept the guy who also hase your plane. So if you do not have all then you are the one that misses out on the views of this great gathering that is unfolding.

Rick Piper - Andover
Derek Palmer - Devon
Nigel Booth - CT-4
Nigel Booth - Strikemaster
KBT Team - P3 Orion
Anthony'Ants' - Tiger Moth
DC-3 - Default / Manfred Jahn freeware is the best
Iris - P-40 is now freeware
...... - Hurricane may also have a good freeware , not sure title

Other freeware included Adrian Brausch and Warwick Carter , ABs C130 /P3 and WC s P-51 , now not sure if they would show against CS or WBsim for example

all and all its a prity good listing in the free ware department .

So, in fact, it is NOT a *requirement* (my original question) that a participant have all models installed in order to participate - only if you want to see others as they are. OK that makes it easier and I will certainly endeavour to install as many as I can.

But scenery is going to be more critical for reasons Ian has stated.

Another question: With types as diverse as Tiger Moth and A4K (and everything in between) how will the proposed flight plan be managed given the radically different flight times? Multiple formations of similar types I assume? Staggered start times?

Dart.
If you cannot get all the payware scenery make sure you get all the freeware ones. Im like you and newish to FSX but they are very easy to install. If you need help ask here or use teamspeak3 to caht to Ian or others who are only too willing to help. These free sceneries make the airports we are going to spectacular.
Adrian.

YES ALL .. it is still a requirement stated by the post list ! Adrian was simply asking the freeware models

I suppose you really only need all the required aircraft and scenery if you want the best experience, and as Ian said there are a lot of excellent freeware alternatives out there, but I strongly recommend having as much of it as you can.
@Ian- The CS 727 is a cracker idea! Do you know if there is a later scheme?

I found a link to the 2001-2 paint on here hosted at avsim and the link was dead so I assume it was lost when they crashed

I downloaded both RNZAF skins for the CS 727 from their web site.

They both just have a 10 digit number next to the zip folder I have. They are: 1261090560, and 1262255514

PM me if you can't find them and i'll email them to you. smile.gif
