Another attempt at a direct connection within FSX. We'll try the following:

Do a direct (LAN option, then direct IP connection within FSX multiplayer) to:
204.111.230.249

This the the FsFlyboys Community server, as seen here:
http://www.fsopen.co.uk/info/sessions/

From what I can tell, this server uses real-world weather.
(If this doesn't work, we'll try another server from the above website)

Assuming this works, we'll also be on the NZFF teamspeak channel.

Route:
I will be loading up at Rotorua and flying to the various airports in the region (Tauranga, Taupo, Whakatane, Hamilton, maybe down to Napier, etc)
The above airports I mentioned all have high-detail custom scenery available for FSX by multiple authors.

Time:
We'll try 9pm my time (on Saturday) which is 1pm New Zealand time (on Sunday).

Aircraft:
Start with the L-39 and go from there. I'm curious about the shared cockpit capability (once we figure out that everything else is working), as from my understanding this is one of the few third-party aircraft that supports it. (I would love if my more complex Russian jets supported it, but I highly doubt it. The MiG-21 may though...)

This afternoon have people incoming and later been invited out to late lunch ... we should have seen what the shared cockpit was like yesterday because the L-39 works a real treat in the shared cockpit mode.

No problem Ian.
I'll postpone this flight likely for sometime early next month. smile.gif

That will give us time to ask other regular MPers, Yesterday afternoon was more of a let down since the planning with the thought we whiz through this , I did get some screens in between the jumping around .

ooh- sounds fun! Will need to get TeamSpeak installed again but it should make a good midday break from work!
I don't have the l39 though so will have to tag along in something else.
Edit- just read the thread! Doh, next time perhaps

Tim, it get extra impressive when you get a large number, be great when Jan Visser completes the totally updated DC-3 , but first we have to fix the stuttering problem, I did do a MP in the last month with Greg using the LAN connection, it maybe a glitch from the last couple days .. but indeed it really is fun cool.gif
