NZFF

I'll be online at 3pm July 12 New Zealand time, which is 11pm July 11th for me (in the past!).

Flying the Virtavia A-4 in either RNZAF livery (either the dark green or the 80s livery both at Aussiex).....or in Israeli livery, which is filename virtavia_a4_idf.zip at flightsim.com.

Let me know if anyone's interested and we'll figure out a server and/or who's hosting. This flight is set to occur approx 4 hours from the time of this writing.

If you install the IDF schemes (it's a pack of two) do the following:

1. Download DXTBmp.

2. Open up and re-save "Skyhawk_1.dds" and "Skyhawk_2.dds" (not the Skyhawk_bump files) of each texture without mip-maps. Do this by ensuring that save with mip-maps is unchecked in DXTBmp. Make no other modifications to the file. (Just a Save, not Save-As)

3. Go into each IDF texture folder and delete "generic_spec.dds" so it instead calls the default Virtavia one.


This adds a bit more shine to the textures which is closer to reality, and most importantly, it prevents them from showing up blurry in the simulator.

I wont be installing the IDF scheme at the mo , just getting the three RNZAF paint in the mean time , still setting many things.

Approx an hour and a half until I'll be on. Will get on TS first to scope out the situation and figure out what we're doing in terms of hosting.

What region we gonna fly in? I've got a sort of batch file thing setup to swap AI, scenery and CFG files in and out depending on where I wanna fly. Are we talking NZ or Israel (judging by Seans pics). Am currently setup for NZ/Pacific.

BTW - there is some fabulous freeware scenery and airports for the Mediterranean coast area from Israel up to Lebanon, we should hit that area for a multi-play some time.

Time is correct (about 30 minutes from now).

Teamspeak server is the NZFF one.
Region = New Zealand.
FS Server = unknown right now, need to see who will host and if it will work. Connecting to NZFF itself is slow for me this evening, so I'm not as confident right now in how this will work, but we'll see.
