The Unity Security Force (USEC) is now recruiting for members for our Flight Simulator Squadron. USEC is run by former and current real-world military officers. We accept applications from all ages, but we expect maturity.

There is a strong New Zealand and Australian membership base in what is now a global organization that has been running since 2002. We even have two of our training aircraft based in NZWN (hey, theres got to be some perks to being the Chief of staff right?).

Missions you fly persist in the real world
  • You check out your aircraft online, fly the mission, post your navigation data, and when another member comes to use that aircraft its location and hours are marked with your previous flight.
Earn Medals, ribbons, and promotions
  • Work your way up in a virtual military environment, to command your own Squadron!
Qualify for your Flying Brevet (wings)
  • Join now and find out about our wings program, four weeks long. Receive a 80 page flight training manual based on real world military training.

Yep, sure do. Noticed your application. We recently introducted FSX. Our FSHost server handles FSX obviously if you download the patch required. I still use FS2004 for most things, and switch to FSX on occasion. Have the both installed.

Love the RNZAF logo ya got there :) Good to see! I'm ex RNZAF myself, still do some civie work for them on occasion.

Hey Icemotoboy what sims do you guys use aside FSX and FS2004? I'm currently the Squadron Commander for the Wolfpack VFA35. Maybe in the future sometime we could organise a joint exercise or some tactical engagements. We use Falcon 4 Allied Forces currently plus will be using FighterOps when its released.(after extensive testing) :plane:
cheers

h290master,

Sounds good. Be sure to use our internal messaging system (mymail) to contact LT Tutty (your Flight Leader) and MAJ Wilson (your CO). Its not a problem for you to start the training late, although it may get more difficult to get more than the minimum 1 on 1 intructor time.

SUBS17,

Sounds good. At the moment we simulate ground combat ops through the BF series, and use FS for our combat support operations. Because we don't believe FS offers good "active combat" simulation, we stick to non direct combat ops such as recon, patrol, transport, logistics, etc... We will add some direct combat squadrons once an appropriate combat FS comes out.

Be sure to get in touch with me if required, just flick me a message through here or hit me up for my email.

Sounds cool the Seawolves Marine Corp are currently using Armed Assault, if you guys like the BF series you'll probably fit right in with ArmA. Have you guys tried the demo out yet?

Yeah there is talk on the forums of us opening a unit for that. We use a really complicated website, and a large part of being part of the staff (rather than just a gamer) at USEC is personnel management, so we like to grow our officers before we open new units, so we can pick the best person for the job who knows how to use out site. Suffice to say its a long process!

Yeah Arma is definately the better FPS game at the moment, good thing is you can also make a virtual base. We have STAT, SWMC and SWSF and they are all FPS divisions but only SWMC uses Arma. I can't think why Arma isn't the FPS standard for all of them theres far more potential than the other FPS games.
