Here's an invitation to join our informal group VFR flight on the evening of 10 July 2022 (Sunday) starting at 7.30pm (NZDT).

Back to the North Island this time, flying around Northland.

Departure from Whangarei (NZWR), flying to Cape Reinga with a touch and go at Kerikeri (NZKK) along the way.
Then on the way back south, landing at Kaitaia (NZKT), Kaikohe (NZKO) and Dargaville (NZDA) before returning back to Whangarei.

Should take about 2 hours. Plane of choice this time is the Diamond DA40.

Flying will be in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Server is South East Asia.
Time set is 1200 hours (noon NZT).
Weather is optional.

Using Discord 'Long White Cloud' Server for voice traffic. Please try and have voice available. It makes its easier for everyone to know what's going on.

See you there, Dave (ZKDWF)

I do like the DA40NG which i wil dust off and flying from my hangar to NZWR to be ready for the trip.

If you don't already have it, there is add-on scenery for NZWR available here

Whangarei airport

and Dargaville here

Just two of us on Sunday night, ZKIWI and ZKDWF.
Choice of DA40 meant quite a long slow flight - just over two hours.
We were able to experiment with Discord's Screen sharing option, which was extremely easy to set up and use.
Also, did some formation flying (a good idea for a future flight, maybe?)
We were also getting some good frame rates too.
