Join us for an evening of sim-flying adventure on Sunday 9 November, departing at 7:30 PM NZDT in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

For the remainder of 2025, we’ll be heading north along the stunning Pacific coastline — kicking off with an mix of civilian and military airfields.

Leg 1 Route: San Diego to Santa Monica

We’ll depart from Brown Field Municipal (KSDM) and fly northbound, landing at a variety of airports — including military bases, because we can in MSFS!

Planned stops:
- San Diego International (KSAN)
- Miramar MCAS (KNKX) — home of the legendary Top Gun school
- McClellan-Palomar (KCRQ)
- Camp Pendleton (KNFG)
- John Wayne Airport (KSNA) — Orange County
- Overfly Disneyland
- Fullerton Municipal (KFUL)
- Final destination: Santa Monica Municipal (KSMO)

Full-stop landings at most sites. Total flight time: under 90 minutes.

Flight Details
- Simulator: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- Server: US West (let's ramp up the traffic!!)
- Time Set: 12:00 PM (NZT)
- Weather: Optional, it's California - it's always blue skies.
- Aircraft: Single-engine plane able to cruise at 115–130 knots. Suggested: Cessna 152/172, DA40, X Cub, Robin, etc.
