Well guys I have finally loaded up my SB software to get back onto VATSIM but whenever I get in there it's as dead as a door nail, is it just me or is online flying in NZ a goner???

It's really random. Sometimes there are quite a few people but most times there ain't.
I usually fly in somewhere like the U.S. or where ever a controller is and do circuits

Hi Dan

Check out VATNZ and look at the front page for who's online and upcoming events on the calendar.

Also, if you use vRoute, book your flight on there and it will show on the VATNZ Website and lets others know you're intentions to fly.

Interestingly, since VATNZ commenced operations on 1 January 2007, we've seen about a 400% increase in online flying in New Zealand airspace over the previous 12 months.

Look forward to seeing you online.

Mark

Dan, there's usually at least one controller on in the evenings. Currently wellington tower and auckland approach are online.
