Hi there

Upon reading the old topics about 'forum field' I was set upon pondering wether we could pull another event like that off. Sadly Not all of us have FSX so we could do something along the lines of the NZFF birthday fly in. (Fs2004 and FSX). I look fwoard to hearing from all of you.

Cheers

Sounds interesting eh, although we've had this chat before.

It's a bit of a workload doing the organising, so someone would have to step up to the plate, as I don't have enough free time to set something like this up... I'm happy to support the chap who does do it, but I can't myself...

Of course if it gets pulled off it's marvellous fun. smile.gif

Thanks all you guys Yes I am sure it would be marvellous fun maybe we could orginise for an event of some sort? Classic fighters is coming up next year and so is christmas so If we could get some more Admin support it would be 1 step closer to starting to orginise the event.

Forum Field orginisers do you have any tips/ Want to be involved?

Thanks
Nick

Forum field organisation was mainly done by Jon Murchison I think, after the 'NZFF' awards (mid-way through 2007) Jon left and started the forum at http://www.flightsim.co.nz.

I haven't really been in contact with Jon since he left; I'm not sure how happy he would be to support this, but there is no harm in asking. smile.gif

Seeing its NZFF "New Zealand forum field " i would say we will be right to use it as it was started here and for forum members here before those fellas left to ArnzX ,,id be happy to help in the ways i can but remember there is alot of planning doing this ,at least we have a ts channel now we can lock down if we need too and a server we can find that will accept fs9&fsX for the night ..
so if you fell like dropping jon a note go for it and get back to us but i doubt it will matter much to the end result

Hey guys,

I was wondering if we could make some sort of 'Forum Field 2008/9' Orginising commitie?
It would be a good chance to let all the members of NZFF have a say in the orginisation, Plane/Location selection and other stuff that we might need. Any body want to back this up/add on to this idea?

Cheers
Nick

I think the first step would be to make a clear list of necessary things, then everybody could have a chance to reply/undertake something (depending on their knowledge and enthusiasm , of course)
I have no experience in managing/organizing a multiplayer event, but I think there are some guys out there who do, so they could coordinate those keen people about what to do.

Yea I could help with organizing it all, it's not that hard is it? BTW, the 203.114.130.15 server isn't working for some reason? (edit: working now)

I would be interested, except I have no idea where to start.
I don't have a clue about multiplayer and I don't really know about organising it either laugh.gif
