Reinstalled windows after upgrading my MOBO and CPU. Then reinstalled FSX, scenery etc.

Put the Tauranga / Rotorua CD in the DVD- tray, and it won't read. Not at all. Cleaned the disc. No dice. Cleaned the DVD drive. No luck. Used one of those disc repair kits. No luck.

Looks like a new purchase is the only way out, unless anyone has any suggestions?!

You might need to reinstall the driver for the CD drive. if you reinstalled windows, that means you got rid of all your drivers (correct if wrong). google "[disk drive make and model] driver" and you will get a list of ones to download. otherwise find the driver disk that came with your computer or disk drive

I'll let you have a replacement CD. Just email me through my site with your address.

we must have posted at the same time. I'd try my suggestion first (no offence) just in case on the off chance I'm correct and you're missing a driver. If there's no driver, a replacement disk won't do much good. Do other disks read? If so, that makes me wrong smile.gif

Other disks read just fine, hence the gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair. blink.gif

I'll try to take Rob up on his kind offer. (pulse slowing down now...)
