I wonder if anyone can help me out with this:
I have just downloaded and unzipped the installCorofsx setup file. No errors. It seems uncorrupted.
The readme file says
The installer will place a folder called 'GodzoneCoromandel' within your FSX folder. Once it is installed, you will need to activate the scenery within the FSX Scenery Library. If you normally keep your addon scenery elsewhere, you can simply move the GodzoneCoromandel folder before activating.

The install dialog says
[attachment=250:intofolder.jpg]

which is indeed my fsx folder. The installation process seems to run fine. But there is no Godzone folder within my FSX folder
[attachment=253:fsxfolder.jpg]

Nor in the addon scenery folder
[attachment=252:addonsceneryfolder.jpg]

and only these two BGL files in the scenery folder
[attachment=251:sceneryfolder.jpg]
.. but Flight simulator does not see them in the ADD SCENERY menu

What did I miss? sad.gif

You didn't miss anything, I did. (This was a quick repackage to replace the missing Avsim file, and not well tested obviously.)
I'm surprised it hasn't cropped up before.
You should remove the existing Coromandel files from FSX\Scenery, and rerun the installer.
This time, add 'GodzoneCoromandel\' to the install path, so it now reads:
E:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\GodzoneCoromandel\
(don't forget to include the '\' at the end)

I'll update the installer and reupload as soon as my internet is up to speed.

Sorry about that.

I had this too, and so re-intalled it to another part of my drive and moved them over into a GodZoneCoromandel folder. Now the folder structure is:

GodZone Coromandel

Scenery - Boatsetc.bgl
- coromandelaerial.bgl

Texture - 929 x .agn files

Is this correct? Where did the .agn files go in the first attempt at installing - should we delete double ups? I've scanned a few of the files for copies elsewhere but can't find them in my FSX directory

My guess is the main Texture folder in FSX. I don't think that this folder normally has AGNs, so should be easy enough to remove.

Many thanks for your quick response. I didnt see it last night because I was downloading the Supercity scenery. Then I went to bed. I installed Supercity today and was delighted to find that the Coromandel scenery was also there. Anyway, I will rerun the installer, as you say, just to keep things tidy.

Hi,

I am new to this board and while I enjoyed Freeware Wellington for FS98 (?) ages ago, I installed FSX only recently and now much like the splendid Godzone packages.

I am a bit puzzled about Coromandel. I could not find an FSX package anywhere on the net. There is one for FS9 which supposedly "might" work, but if I am right there exists a special FSX Coromandel being the topic of this thread. I only have the download versions of Godzone Scenery (does not make much sense to ship CDs to Germany). Is there any way to get the freeware FSX Coromandel? The link under

http://windowlight.co.nz/store/index.php?m...9&chapter=2

is dead and AVSIM does no longer have it.

As a side note: Is there any good Christchurch FSX scenery available anywhere (freeware or payware)? At least

http://nzff.org/maps/

does not list any and I could not find any either.

Thanks for any hint
and best regards, Michael

Hi Michael
I removed the link from my site late last week, when the problem with the installer was discovered. I will re-upload the scenery this week.

I've now re-uploaded this. Rather than rebuild the installer, I've replaced it with the version included on the Rotorua/Tauranga CD. This is a simple installer, with no choice of install path.

Just downloaded, installed and tried it. Installer works perfect, no issues, just great.

Thank you very much for making it available again, Michael
