Hi there Robin

Just wondering if you know the Projection datum that LINZ use on there free (corrected tifs)

I am trying to get them through the New Resampler (FSX) after converting them to WGS84 which I would do through global mapper

I want to try out bp32b_fy_04_05.tif from LINZ Wellington area it would be great to just feed it to the resampler

Heres an inf file that doe'snt work yet because the file is not GEOTIFF yet just Tiff

[Source]
Type = GeoTIFF
SourceDir = "Airport-3d"
SourceFile = "airport-1m.Tif"
Layer = Imagery
Variation = Day
NullValue = 255,255,255

[Destination]
DestDir = "Output"
DestBaseFileName = "Onerahi"
DestFileType = BGL
LOD = Auto

I also think this may be the wrong forum to ask you design issues please steer me in the right direction

Thanks for any help
Kind Regards
Greg

Hi Greg
I've replied to your email, but I'll expand on it here.
The image is a GeoTif, it just doesn't know which projection. When you load it into Global Mapper, you need to tell GM that its NZTM projection. Then reproject it to WGS84.
To overcome the problem of losing the georeferencing when you edit the image, export it with 'Generate TFW file' selected. This means that you can edit the image in whatever you use to colour-correct etc, then reload into GM for re-exporting. It'll automatically pick up the referencing from the TFW file.
The INF file you've used will then work fine.
The fun bit starts when you get to annotating the autogen...
