For those who don't follow Godzone on Facebook, here's a post on my site with a video of the dual gate in action, using GSX, showing the way I operate it. It isn't that obvious from the video what I'm choosing in the menus, so I've outlined in the post, as well as on the YouTube page itself.

I'm not sure how other aircraft will fare, there's a guy on AVSIM with a problem with his PMDG 747, but I'm still not sure what the solution is.
