Nelson elevation Messed Up with ORBX NZSI installed

Postby mwr2410 » Fri May 07, 2021 4:16 pm

I Recently Bought and installed Real NZ Nelson for v5.

I am having some major issues with elevation around the airport, as you can see by the photos the entire airport is elevated and is wrong, on my previous godzone sceneries disbaling all of the orbx bgl's for that airport fixed the issues but this time it has not, I would really appreciate it if someone could help me fix this so i can fly out of this awesome scenery!

Cheers

Although Real NZ Nelson doesn't support Prepar3d v5, it can be used with minor issues. However it really depends on how it is installed -- the installer will detect an older Orbx install for Prepar3d v4 and earlier, but not for v5. The installer activates a different set of Real NZ files if it detects Orbx NZ, so it is very likely that you don't have the correct set activated.

In your RealNZnelson\scenery folder, there will be a set of duplicate files which deal with elevation, one set includes 'ALT' in the filename, and the other doesn't. If the 'ALT' files are '.off', you'd need to remove the '.off' to activate them, and add '.off' to the matching non-ALT files. There are 3 files to change, each with 2 versions. If this doesn't make sense, let me know.
