Hi all
I am desperate for help with RealNZwgtn scenery. Sitting at the south end of wellington airport several buildings on the east side above the tanks are floating in midair, when I move the wgtn scenery in the scenery library and the scenery
re compiles everything looks ok But when I restart FSX the same issue building are floating in the air.
I thought it might be something to do with my saved flights so removed all saved flights re started with default aircraft the Trike started flight at wellington and same issue.
I have VLC installed but please can anyone help me out
Cheers
Rhys

Hello Rhys, It has been a while but try changing your mesh and or texture in the scenery settings - resolution. I seem to remember 19 for mesh can't recall the other value. Give it a try.
Cheers

Do you have the scenery installed in the correct order in the scenery library?
Make sure it is installed as per the installation notes.
Do you have Orbx installed?

Hi
Still no luck. The issue goes away when I rebuild the scenery library. If anyone can help flick me a pm as I have a screen shot of the issue

You would be best to post this issue in the Godzone “Real New Zealand” scenery forum lower down the forum list.
That will probably get Robin Corn’s attention. He developed the scenery and would be best to help you solve your issue.
There may even be a post in that forum that is similar to yours.

Hi Rhys
The floating houses has been a FSX issue for a long, long time. This is really just a bug in FSX,
and it does appear on the FAQ on my site. There's a suggestion there that reloading the scenery through the Scenery Library will fix it temporarily, but you can also map 'reload scenery' to a key.
Lockheed Martin slowly improved this issue with Prepar3d, but of course FSX will never see a proper fix.

I thought I was going nuts ha ha. When ms2020 introduces
helicopters I may move on from fsx but my simulator is a full scale MD500E. I have set my sim up with firefighterX and added a sling option to pick up liftable objects
Really enjoy nz scenery and set up a base with object placement near my home in Upper Hutt
Thanks heaps
Rhys
