Hi all

I was wondering what the best option is for a smattering of AI aircraft at Wanaka, like a Hurricane, Corsair, P-40, Harvards, Spitfire etc may be. Ideally I'd love to get a ton of realistic a/c with Kiwi-related warbird paints (the Alphasim T-6 in particular) but I know that, with my system only running decent graphics at a medium speed, I'll have to make do with some more generic types.

Any ideas at all? I remember seeing a Duxford pack around at some point. And how difficult (or otherwise) is it to create your own flightplans etc?

Cheers!

heythere zac
there s a duxford pack out,
you can use any of the ai aircraft in it to make a flight plan.
I have a hurricane going between omaka and woodbourne.
google
'ai fightplan tutorial '
it shows you how to get up and running with your ai aircraftand flight plans.
.pm me if you are having trouble finding it.

As a starter, search on "Charl" at AVSIM.
There is a Wanaka AI package, focussed on the airshow.

Just downloaded this again, but I can't for the life of me find the Duxford AI aircraft! I try the FsFrance link and nothing! Ideas? Could someone maybe offer an alternate link or even email it to me? Pretty please? Warbirds Over Wanaka without Warbirds just doesnt feel right!

I think the a/c they used are from CFS2 but adapted for FS2004, any plans you want doing let me know or do some for yourself, they are
dead easy. If you want to carry out T&G's make certain your a/c have got good flight dynamics or else you'll be taking off into the trees etc.
Also make certain for authenticity your afcads allow for "non push backs" and the a/c park and leave the ramp as they should, any help just shout.

Hey all, still keenly after the Duxford AI pack. Wanaka feels distinctly empty without it.

It was made for Robin's scenery, but hey, have a go and see?

Also, I am following up on the Duxford Collection, and will try to get it uploaded again.

Yes I have the Duxford package but for some reason un beknown to me I have been un-able to send
it successfully.
I have been in YSSY for 4 weeks and am due to return to Devo in about 10 days.
Will look at it again when I get back and see what I can do.

Bump? Still very bare at NZWF for me :(

Also, Robin: do you have some sort of parking map for Wanaka? I'd love to have one so I can see where all the parks are. Also, is it hard to create parking slots, ie the airshow flightline?

Four posts above your post ...
I am being especially slow about all this, true, and anyone who wants to pre-empt me is most welcome.

Tell you what, how about a map of the airshow flightline, and I'll amend the AFCAD to suit?

Robin don't hesitate to boot us out into a more suitable thread - I'm just continuing this because it's here...
FIRST: Duxford planes are here (Thanks to Trolly):
http://www.nzff.org/files/Airshow_plane1.zip
http://www.nzff.org/files/Airshow_plane2.zip
http://www.nzff.org/files/Airshow_plane3.zip
SECOND: Miloslav Wolf has painted - crikey - 10 Kiwi Yaks for AI, released on AVSIM today.
I will do an AI package with these for sure.
My original Wanaka AI is looking a little worn at this time, and I hope to revisit the whole concept with an all-in WOW Airshow package for this scenery.

Thanks Charl, downloading now. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing the Yaks strut their stuff - all ten are in my FS hangar keenly awaiting some exercise :)
