Has anyone worked out a fix for NZWR airport yet (in FS9)?

With NZTopo installed, the airport sits on a plateau with water running up on all sides as well as the top (and at both runway ends). And yes, I know this is a FS problem (NZWN suffered a similar problem before RealNZ Wellington "fixed" it).

I suspect it will require the default flatten file to be adjusted (or removed). Anyone care to comment on how to go about doing this (how to identify the appropriate AP.bgl?; what tools will I need to do the job?; any tutorial/website with step-by-step instructions on performing this fix?).

TIA

No fix available I'm aware of.

You need a tool that lets you create TMF scenery (eg SBuilder). Make an exclude around the airport. Make a new flatten around the airport. I don't know SBuilder well, nor do I know of a good turorial, but I suspect if you install SBuilder it may be reasonably straight forward.

Cheers,
Christian

I am using a modified version of Luke Clark's NZWR, with 20m mesh and NZ Topo, and have no problems with it. (nzwr_v11.zip from Flightsim.com).
The airport sits up on a plateau, but i dont have the water rising up the edges or over onto the airport itself, or the runway ends. When i say a "modified" version, all i have done is add hangers and other buildings to the scenery, and some minor AFCAD mods of taxiways etc.
