I have removed all existing NZ TOP and NZ Scenery folders and I am just flying on MS Flight Sim Scenery and still Wellington Harbour is Dry with lyall bay beach strecthing 2 km out into cook strait.
I think I will completely reinstall FSX and wait to hear from you about NZ TOPO and Scenery.
Looks like your CD is broken. Can you contact the people you bought from for replacement? Or try wiping it clean with a dry cloth? Is there a scratch on it?
To get you the default scenery back all you need to do is disable the dir where the patch files went (ie the topo folder).

When I reinstalled I was able to have the coastlines back in the correct position.
I am now just using the Microsoft scenery and have sent the disk back to Roger Smith, at GeographX, for replacement as you advised.
I will let you know how it works when I get the new disk.

All is well and with the new CD I have been able to install perfectly and all is up and running.
Thanks for your help Christian!
a couple more questions about settings in FSX.
1) though it doesn't say to in the instructions, do we need to add the Mesh in the "add Scenery" inside FSX? Like we do for the scenery folder.
2) Whats a good setting for "Mesh Complexity"?
My current settings are;
"Level of detail radius" - medium
"Mesh Complexity" - 51
"Mesh Resolution" - 19
"Texture resloution" -5m
"Water effects" - 1. x (low)
Targeting 20 Frames per sec.
CPU AMD 64 bit , 3000+
Graphics card GeForce 7600 GT
RAM 1 Gb.
3) Is the NZ Land class automatically installed or do I have to manually install it? I ask because the Malborough Sounds is geogphically correct, but sand hills instead of bush clad slopes.
I am also now running RealNZ Wellington after the good install of your software.
Once again thanks for your help!

Glad you got it working

yes
2) Whats a good setting for "Mesh Complexity"?

This is the only relevant one for mesh and 19 is correct.

It's installed. FSX has terrible textures. Grass looks way too dry. The only solution is flying in Summer only at this stage. (believe it or not those sand hills are in fact the new FSX textures for grass & shrubs).
