Hello, was reinstalling FSX and decided to install the 75m Mesh Red Baron, but was wondering if it is ok for FSX, i have heard its been
patched for FSX, but It says under all the read mes and manuals for fs2004.

Does it work fine for FSX or is there patch you have to install on top of it thats not on the geographx website?

Thanks, any help appreciated

Should work fine as long as you use the patch from their website. I never had any problems with it in FSX.

Do you mean this patch (go down page and it will be: NZ 75m mesh) http://www.geographx.co.nz/downloads.html If its not that, then I havent downloaded the patch. Where is the patch?
Yes I've activated it in the scenery libary than I restart FSX but the NZ scenery still looks like the defult.

That's the 'Roads and Rivers' (topo) patch, I don't think there's anything available -- or necessary -- for the mesh?

Is there a patch for the 20m mesh? My metal work teacher bought the 20m for FS9 and I said that patch would work. Silly me.

No patch required.

Oh, he said he couldn't get it working or something? Oh well, I think he had the topo as well, so not a complete waste of time.

did he change the mesh resolution slider in the FSX settings to 20m?

Just to clarify: Both 75m and 20m meshes work in FSX just fine - without any patch. In fact, installing the patch will create problems. The setup is very similar to FS2004, so following those instructions should give enough guidance.

The patch is for Roads & Rivers (topo) or the Combo (which incl R&R) and is essential if those are installed.

Hope that helps,
Christian
