I have 20m mesh installed in FS9 and want to also install it in FSX. When the InstallShield Wizard appears is asks
"Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its features"
If I say yes, I guess it will remove it from FS9 which I don't want to happen. How can I avoid this and install it in FSX.?

Can I just copy it from FS9.? Also, is there any point in installing Landclass into FSX.?

Yes just copy paste and add the fsx update to the folder it tells you in the readme etc .. set the sim for 19 meters and fsx should pick up the best mesh for the job ..

Yeah that should be in the topo folder from memory so there should only be two folders topo and 20mesh

Thanks. That update is for Topo. I am not going to attempt to install Topo in FSX as I already have it in FS9 and I have found that it is not possible to install Topo in both Sims as
it doesn't give you the choice of Directory and keeps wanting to install it in FS9. If there is a way of doing it I would be pleased to hear it.
Did you install NZ Landclass in FSX.?

From what ive read you have it already installed in fs9 so you just copy the topo and 20mesh folder over to FSX and activate them both in the order you would have them in fs9 ,there is no reinstall from the installer its just a copy and paste process nothing more nothing less ,,,the topo should have the landclass files in it like explain above if you have gone by the readme ...the FSXupdate goes in the topo folder ,this from what i remember is a update file for landclass or something along those lines ....

pretty much i cant explain it any clearer or simpler than what i have ...

i do have this setup and works fine and all ive ever done is copy and paste it to new installs ive done with FSX infact i did the same thing 1 night ago when my HDrive buggered out

I have no problem copying 20m mesh to FSX but I have been told that you just can't copy Topo in that manner but if you have done it and it works ok then I guess I have
been given the wrong information. Thanks for your help.

Hi Pato

Do as creator2003 wrote: copy both folders into FSX. Then add the topo patch. Then add to the scenery library in FSX and you're done.
