Its very hard out I'm doing the campaign and in the 3rd mission you're in a FARPs with engines off and get attacked at night. Its quite fun trying to start it up while vehicles are blowing up nearby.

Well it arrived today....and I must say it has been a pretty frustrating first few hours!

My pedals and joystick work fine in the training stuff....but as soon as I plonk myself in a 'mission' (i.e. place a black shark somewhere, set to player) the collective doesn't work?

There seems to be conflicts in the control set up too? Under the 'all axis' settings I can set the collective for my joystick 'throttle' axis.....but in the more detailed settings it just lists random lists of buttons...

..grr...just frustrating and lacking polish I feel.

(edit- Found the help files.....no mention of them in the actual game though?!)

To setup the axis is quite straight forward go to the options and controls and select the axis you want to change click add and move the axis so it recognises it. The only axis I had problems with was the brake axis but KA50s don't have separate brakes for each wheel so its no problem. As for the FM you have to setup the correct FBW channels for flight in the missions. You also have to set trim inflight and the helicopters autopilot will fly by itself when set. You can set the FM to simplified to help with trainning.

yeah the problem was I wanted it on hard....but couldnt figure out to do that when just making a quick 'test' mission. You have to select the feature on another menu but the way that it is worded is a bit confusing ( a double negative)

It is so good to fly a realistic chopper flight model!
