FSPilotShop has an early version of 'Rise of Flight' for $7.99 so, what the heck. The download is huge then it updates - another 2+ GB worth, so I'm cutting edge for still $7.99. Beautiful graphics, scenery and planes . The learning curve appears fairly steep so any thoughts, comments and/or advice most welcome.

I've just reinstalled it on my desktop and it's a mixture of fun and frustration...I can't seem to see any key bindings for trimming the aircraft which makes it pretty hard to fly steady!

The three flight axes and throttle in my X52 stick were the same or similar but, as you say, none of the other stuff seems so straightforward.

Think its the case of starting out in a different field different program , adjust controllers to what your generally use and the rest is just like falling of a log . winkyy.gif

Here's what I did for rough trim. My X52 throttle has a couple of rotary axis wheels so I centered one and applied it to 'plane control: stabilizer'. Seems to work.
