At the risk of you lot getting sick and tired of the info Subs17 and I put in here about our other passions, here's something to look at:

This mission was created and hosted by Woody.

Here are a few shots from Sunday's mission, resized at lower res:

The Cavalry takes off, including Cadman in the Mighty Tempest

Here's our stranded squad

The P38's scramble

Hurri's already in the area find the B25 first ...

... and proceed to dish out some just deserts to enemy ground units

A quick fly by to make sure the B25 crew are ok

In come the P38's

The A20 Lands safely, Primaryman executing a perfect three point landing. Meanwhile the fighters keep the enemy 109s busy in the air

The A20 taxis up to the waiting B25 crew as Evil Chicken flies by

The B25 crew desert Cruise n Kate en mass and make a run for the A20

Awesome Fun

Heh, yep, the Evil Chook!! Come on Monday nights - most of his planes are bright red with Evil Chicken written all over them lol.

The pilots all do an "ejector seat" disbark, whether the plane's in the air or on the ground. Makes for an interesting aerobics display!

Spongebob and KiwiBarGuy- It's IL2 Sturmovik. Currently using the IL2 1946 DVD with game patched up to version 4.09m for co-ops and 4.08m for online dogfighting. There's a few threads in this forum about what we do, also visit www.kiwisim.net.nz IL2 Forum for more info. We have a regular group of about 14 that are flying most nights, Monday is dogfight night on the Inspire server (we use Inspire teamspeak - just down the hallway from the Inspire FS room), Friday, Sat and Sunday are co-op nights where someone hosts a game and we all fly a mission as a team (The Flying Kiwis) against the AI planes. The missions are created by the guys, as are the plane skins.

We welcome newcomers, but it pays to get the game up and running first, and to have some idea how to take off and land with the difficulty settings on high although we are all pretty helpful to newbies :)
