Big thanks to the heads up on this from Famin at the KiwiSim Forum, who has just spent the evening at a mates' place who is a R/C freak.

You connect the actual R/C handset by cable to a usb dongle and fly the planes on screen. Apparently it's quite realistic to use.

Here is a Youtube of the sim. Very impressive graphics!

Anyone got this?

Will nerd here should invest in a RC simulator so I can learn to fly my "real" RC plane and avoid hard encounters with terra firma.

Yea I have aerofly pro delux. http://www.aerofly.de/ Have done for a few years and I can say it is absolutely fantastic. VERY realistic. I have a real P51 (RC) and trainer and the models of these they have on here fly EXACTLY the same, it is amazing. I even use my own controller which can be pluged in by usb and use that as well to add to the realism.
