Hi, just been attempting approaches at NZQN and I have been using the GPS A approach. But I need some help sad.gif

How do you work out the altitudes you are to be at? (as there isn't an approach chart)

Can the GPS give vertical guidence?

How do you conduct the circle to land procedure at NZQN?

Your help appreciated. rolleyes.gif

Well, I can shed some light on the first two (dunno about the third, maybe Jamie can help you there....).

1. Queenstown charts are at http://aip.net.nz/NavWalk.aspx?section=CHA...tree=Queenstown (hope that was what you were asking).

2. Nope, afaik the FS GPS cannot set/maintain/change your altitude.

I have another question. I know how to program the approach procedure into the GPS. But how do you go about programming the arrival and departure procedures? Thanks.

Easiest way I know of (without an FMC), would be to look at the charts for the airport (all at http://www.aip.net.nz) and then plug it into the GPS/Flight Planner manually.
