This is something I picked up at Avsim via SOH and it's only valid if you have a strong Nvidia card (1gb or more) but not so strong CPU. What it allegedly does is place more of the workload on the video card while relieving some from the CPU. I've been using default scenery as a gauge and, while it's all in the eye of the beholder, my screenshot file sizes, after reduction to JPEG and standard 1024 width, are 100-200kb larger in size. Anyway the gist is, using Nvidia Inspector, go to 'Antaliasing Setting' and select AA_MODE_METHOD_VCAA_16X_4v12. Lots of rave comments on SOH and AVsim but, of course, it's for a fairly narrow niche.

Aahh at last i have figured out Nvidia Inspector and have ridded myself of the older 195 drivers and enhancer. Inspector is giving me as just as good image quality as the old enhancer which is great and the posted AA_MODE_METHOD_VCAA_16X_4v12 setting seems to run ok with my i7 870 and GTX260sp although i havent run any severe weather yet with my Airbus X. That plane alone with big cloud coverage gives me sub 15fps at times. That plane is a hog. Way more than any accusim plane and its not evan a hardcore sim of the airbus.

Have you tried the "Jesus tweaks' - setting the ingame frames to unlimited and using an FPS limiter, in my case set to 30. Haven't seen less than 20 yet.

Not sure which this is - FPS_Limiter_0.2.zip. As I recall, some Googling was involved.
