Have just downloaded Orbx's latest addon and like the the recent Bundaberg release, it runs much smoother on my rig than their previous addons...must be their use of "Nearmap" technology developed by one of Orbx's imagery partners....some pics attached.

Looks good ,i love the city modelling and wish we had more high rise citys to model ,i wonder what nearmap is ? texture flow and so on ,sounds like new words for the things us modellers all do to gain performance to the user , a quick question though for you ,is the runways and taxiways got a poly runway or is that just the raw photoreal ,i see this in ants new ybbn airport aswell ,just doesnt look like there is a poly taxiway/ apron there and i wonder why it looks so blurry .

thanks for the look

edit i only found that nearmap is some company over there in oz that has a update feature or something ie like goggle earth for highres images ,cant see how that could work in FSX ,only that they have very good highres images supply by nearmap technology ?

nearmap.com developed a breakthrough technology solution which allows very high resolution PhotoMaps to be captured and published online more frequently than anything available today, at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.[/quote]

YPMQ doesn't include any groundpolys. It uses the photoreal for the taxiways and aprons then on top of that is all the markings, lines and default FSX runway.

It is a very good airport. I like it. biggrin.gif
