Hi all
Is there a tutorial on adding sling loads to other that the FSX missions helicpters. I have FSX acceleration and I want to add some sling load objects to a Bell 206 but not sure how you go about.
I would like to choice my own location and objects and helicopters.

Cheers

Hi Folks

Rhys -
There's a pre-configured set of example files available at Slingloads in the Sandbox,
which you can modify/relocate to suit your needs.
You'll need to be confident editing text files, (.FLT, .XML, aircraft.cfg).

From a thread over at SOH.

Liftable objects only work in FSXA Missions or Saved Flights.

IIRC,
FSXA already contains 30 default liftable simobjects.

The Slingloads in the Sandbox package -
- Was a proof of concept, created for FSXA Beta-Testers.
- Enables a bunch of default scenery objects, to be used as liftable simobjects.
- Contains a working xml placement example (47 objects), and associated FLT files.
- Ensure you read the README

WARNING -
Before installing, BACKUP your aircraft.cfg files for B206 & EH101.

TIP -
Picking up objects is not easy.

Insufficient processor-cycles makes doing so very much harder.

Just while honing your skills -
For a more fluid experience,
set ALL your scenery/terrain/traffic sliders to the LEFTMOST.

There is another way, there is a freeware program called AIcarriers2 which allows you to place working aircraft carriers any where your flying, this can be configured to place liftable objects also

You will need some liftable objects from the sandbox file, but you do not need the object placement tool.
