Hi Guys,
my sim is slowly building out. Read a whole bunch of info around the Saitek Radio Panel and will likely make it my next add-on.
One question I have found conflicting info for: when I manually change frequencies in FSX by clicking in the virtual cockpit, the ATC window disappears. I have to re-open it to interact with ATC again. Annoying.
Does anyone out there have the Saitek Radio Panel and, if so, does changing the frequency on the radio panel do the same thing; cause the ATC window to disappear.
I fear that if it does, then the panel is all but useless if you need to interact with FSX ATC as I do.
Comments?
Cheers

I haven't got one set up at the moment here so can't test direct, but I would imagine that if the ATC window disappearing is a part of the FSX code, then the Saitek will probably not modify that at all... I could be wrong but I would expect the Saitek panel to do the same because it is just changing the way the frequency is changed, not what effect that change has on FSX windows? Happy to be proven wrong of course smile.gif

Hi Jeff
That's odd, when I manually change frequencies the ATC Menu panel stays open (at least in the Realair Legacy, the Carenado Seneca, and the default Baron). Using the dials on the Saitek Radio Panel has no effect on the ATC window for me either.

There is another possibility you could try - right click on the ATC Menu top window bar/frame and select 'undock window' - that usually stops windows closing when they lose focus in FSX so should help you with your problem.

Cheers
