I know that Computerpilot has started some articles on this subject but I need help before next month.

I was hoping to use my Dreamfleet Baron for my soon to depart round world trip in FSX but although I can get the Aircraft over from FS9 into FSX, I cannot get a cockpit with gauges. It just leaves the dark circles on the panel.

From reading the forums at dreamfleet I have found that Dreamfleet is basically taking the attitude of "well we made it for FS9 if it doesn't work in FSX too bad and buy another when we make it for FSX." Not much help when you think of how much NZ$ it cost.( also some of the problem is the use of RealityXP gauges which won't work in FSX)

can anyone help with how to link one of the standard Baron cockpits over to the imported model? I need the D/Fleet model as it has the extended range 200 gal tanks and I want to make the flight as realistic as possible and not have to cheat with the fuel/payload manager if possible. My home cockpit is also set up for this aircraft. In the mean time I will probably depart FS9 to start with while I work on the problem.

any help greatly appreciated :)

There is an importer? Where did you get that and how much did you pay?

I might be able to help you. I have FS Panel Studio for FSX which means I could sort out the 2D panel using your current 2D barron textures, the VC is a little more challenging.

Have you copied the gauges over as well?

thanks guys but is there not a way of just linking the panel of a default FSX Baron to show up when VC is selected ie in the aircraft.cfg file the line "Panel=" ? and if so where do I put it and what is the correct way.
and yes I have been trying, I have butchered tons of files ( backups) trying things but seem to be missing what is probably the obvious.
thanks

Unfortunately the VC is part of the model itself rather than a 'panel', so can't be linked to unlike the 2D counterparts.
