Well if your system is anything lower than my 2.4ghz, 1.5GB of RAM, GeForce FX6600 then I expect it was awfull as I got absoulte crap performance, even with minimal settings <_<

Medium high-high settings gets around 22 fps.

that sounds pretty good to me. i actually haven't benchmarked my system yet, i'd better load up some fraps
and remember that its not even the final version, so its still being polished...

I am seriously considering my decision of whether I buy straight away or leave it for awhile like I did when I bought FS9 it wasnt till a year after it came out that I bought it I was still using FS2002 Pro and plus I dont think I will have a decent PC any time soon so like some of you others do I buy on release and have it sitting on the shelf or wait a bit longer and use the PCs we have fine tuned so nicely for good ol' FS9 for just a tad longer.

I'm not gonna buy it straight-off. I've got FS9 just the way I want it (finally  ) and I intend to use it a fair bit longer. ;)

i think there's a certain amount of benefit in not buying FSX straight away. it won't be directX 10 compatible straight out of the box, MS will issue a patch. if you wait, the patch will be integrated into FSX out of the box, so it could be more stable than if you installed the patch. of course you'll need vista and a hefty piece of hardware...

(that made no sense, did it.)

I'm beginning to get second thoughts about the whole "lets-rush-in-and-buy-it-on-launch-day" thing too. I mean, we can't afford it at the mo, our computer's nowhere near having enough specs to have it looking good, and like the Big Z said they'll just patch it.

I can';t wait to fondle a new copy of it, but hell, I work at DSE - I can fondle it as much as I like and GET PAID FOR IT!!!!!
