I was showing off the eye candy in FSX to a friend. I went to external view on the Beaver and zoomed in on the bush pilot to show how his arms and head moved with control inputs. Then something caught my eye - did the pilot blink ?? Look closely and wait - yes the pilot has eyelids that blink !!!

No I don't think you can turn this type of eye candy off. When your PC is drawing a squillion polygons for the 3d models and goodness how many Megs of textures I don't think a couple more animated polys (eyelids) will make much difference !!

What makes the biggest difference on my system is the amout of AI traffic (planes, boats, cars)
