Hey guys
I just reinstalled XP therefore I had to reinstall fsx (duh!) But this time I installed to a different location than the default (same hard drive)
Will this cause any problems in the future I should probably be aware of? And is there any other info I should know.
Thanks, I jut want to know if anything will change

I don't think you'll have any problems, I've always had FSX installed on a non-default drive/path without issues.
Most modern addon installers now obtain the path from the registry, but be aware that some don't, so you may need to check the installation path before installing anything.
The real problems come when people move the installation by shifting or renaming the FSX folder -- in this case, the registry won't point to the proper location, and some addons may not install at all.

My latest FSX install went onto drive "K" without any problems - though I left the "Program Files\Microsoft Games\ etc. .." part as it was. That way, all I need to do is change the drive letter in the cases when installers don't automatically detect the install path.
Mind you, FSX stuffs things all over drive C (User settings, screenshots etc.) ... grrrrrrrrrrr.

No problem here -- my BGLs were in fact associated with 'Map Viewer for FS2004', which I no longer use, so I've just had a go at changing the association to TMFviewer, which went without a hitch.
I wouldn't be surprised if a reinstall removed the current association, but I can't imagine any trouble reassigning it.

What is the TMFviewer actually for?

I install both FS9 and FSX to different HDD partitions and directories with no problems at all. I've also found you can reinstall Windows and run both sims quite happily without having to do a complete reinstall of each game - you just need to recreate the game registry keys. To do this you just need to run the FREE FS registry tool that can be found at the TweakFS website!
Read the info hereOr go straight to the TweakFS download page!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think TMFViewer is a tool in the SDK used to open and examine certain data elements within BGL files (Such as LOD's/Water Masks/Seasonal Data etc). Its often run in conjunction with other tools and editors for various purposes.
