Taupo Airport

[Snowman]

Is there anybody familiar with Taupo airport that can tell me what the numbered objects in the pictures are ??
Obviously, i'm building a scenery for Taupo........................

# 1 Is this the Aeroclub clubhouse building ??

# 2 Is this a large fuel tank ??

# 3 Are these fuel pumps ??

# 4 What is this object ??

# 5 Are these fuel pumps ??

3 fuel /2 fuel /4 looks like the tower.. 5 not sure but could be if got alot of photos of all that part from the last trip but are using it them for objects ofcourse

you could be a bit cheeky and send an email to the taupo airport admin people and see if they can clarify for you... I'm sure if you explain what you are doing and ask politely, they'll be happy to help out.

Hi Snowman

1, Is one of the Skydive operators, Forget which one.

2, Is a Fuel Bunker

3, Is a concreate pad with two fuel pumps on it

4, Is the control Tower

5, I can not remember of hand from memory its a portable power supply and Luggage truck storage area.

Crazy thing is I work up at the Airport quite a bit never really took much notice, not sure when will be in Taupo next may have time depending on how busy we are during the A1 GP mid January. Got some ground shots somewhere you might be interested in.

Are you still going ahead with your Taupo Scnery ??
I thought you had ditched FS9, and gone to FSX ??.............................

Yeah i havent all together boxed it yet ,will finsh off last scenery for it and move on with fsx ,but there are still programs ill use with fsx from fs9 so i have to have both installed for the mean time
for taupo ive got models and textures made up into different stages and will not doubt now im moving on will only be done for fsx in the end ,,but honestly thats months away i would think ..
Hamilton is bugging me at the moment so im trying to work out all its little problems ,,

Ok Mike, if your Taupo will only end up being for FSX, then i will continue on with mine for FS9.
You havnt got a pic of the Tower at Taupo that you could send me have you ?? I just want to see what kind of architecture it is, and how big it is, so i can choose an appropriate object for my scenery....................

Yup i do and i mite even have the tower i made for it somewhere that you could have if the textures maps arent something im going to be using again you may have it ,,
just give me acouple of days and ill see what i can do for ya

A pic would do just fine, but whatever comes along. The terminal was a hard one to choose objects for, because of all the high pitched roofs on it, but i managed to cobble something together out of several different buildings thats a reasonable likeness of whats there. ( even if it is the wrong colour).
