NZCH AFCAD

I thought some of the old AFCAD hands out there might have some wisdom to part with this one..

I use the New Zealand Scenery Design NZCH and surrounding photo-scenery - which is really good. The only problem is that with the scenery installed, I can no longer perform the published instrument approaches. Well, I suppose I can, I could just fly them; but the FS ATC will never let me ask for an ILS or VOR approach like I normally could. All the navaids are there, just the approach data is gone. It doesn't show up in the GPS either.

On closer inspection, If I look at the map view, NZCH shows up as a blue circle as if it is some single strip GA aerodrome, when all the commercial airports show up as solid discs. I thought this might have something to do with it.

I know there was an NZDN scenery package that had a similar no-more-IFR-approaches fault that was rectified by the author releasing a replacement AFCAD file, which is what leads me to the think the AFCAD file is hiding the fault.

To put a spanner in the works, the NZCH scenery I have didn't actually come with a AFCAD file as the author embedded the AFCAD data in the BGL file that had all the airport scenery. I was even told don't mess around with AFCAD because of the risk of causing conflicts. The guy who released the scenery didn't want people putting alternative AFCAD files on AVSIM or flightsim.com that would mess up his scenery - "fair enough" I thought, no one likes addons that detract from rather that add to a scenery package. Of course, I created a new AFCAD anyway - I wanted to change the parking assignments to fit ai traffic that I've put together. The obvious answer would be that it's my dodgy extra AFCAD file (in a higher layer to minimise conflicts) that's causing all the problems, but no; even when I remove my AFCAD file completely and run flightsim again the IFR approaces are still gone.

Does anyone have any scenery design advice on this one?
