An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby Nunner » Sun Nov 09, 2008 8:11 am

Hi guys,
Sorry to bring this up but I am having a semi senior moment.
To cut a long story short I am having troubles removing "the horrible"
static a/c from NZAA. Have used the excludes folder etc but they just wont go
away. Have done the NZAR ones but for some reason the little buggers at NZAA
remain. I know it can be done but that was 2 odd years ago and i cant remember
how to do it or what it is that I am doing wrong.
Cheers

That's the same version I'm running. I was advised to substitute what I had before to this version as it had "less" AI planes lying about, so I wondered if you had the "other" version. At the time I was loading Real NZ AA and it was suggested I do this to avoid a "clutter."

As far as removing what you have, I'll have to pass on that one and hope one of our scenery specialists can assist.

Good luck....

Thanks Bazza,
After staring blankly at it for an hour earlier I sussed it out and picked all the little bits out of the scenery
and now have no statics sat about doing nothing.

Try using "Auckland Airports for RealNZ Auckland City" by Rob Diebold.
Its the SAME airport as Auckland 2005, but with all the static aircraft and other useless fps sapping junk stripped out of it.
It also has all the auckland buildings and the harbour bridge etc stripped out of it, so that there are no
conflicts or double-ups wit the RealNZ buildings and bridges etc.
It also contains the other airports like Whenuapai and Ardmore and North Shore etc.............
To strip the many statics out of Ardmore, remove the file named "NzarST.bgl" (1227mb) and they will be gone.
