An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Is there anyone out there familar with NZVL Mandeville ??
Below is a screenshot that came from someones FS9 scenery of it, and im wondering if anyone can tell me if the hangers in the yellow circle
are actually there in real life or not ??
I have a few pics of the place ( no idea how old they are), and i cant see those buildings anywhere in them.
All i can see is few trees down there and a small "T" hanger to one side of them.

tongue.gif I went in search of that Yellow ring around the area , the rest off it looked like noddy-land tongue.gif Due the area fame to DH restored products and the few Warbirds that stop here i think a real photo placed and well built/blend to suit both VLC and ORBX should be done .

I used to fly there heaps while finishing my atpl the buildings youve mentioned are in fact a house and i think a barn and are there at the airfield close to the road, the other buildings are the museum the mayfly restaurant and the croydon aircraft factory

Ill have a dig around and see if i can find some pics

Hello Snowman,

I was down there at Easter time while visiting "War Birds Over Wanaka".

I can post some photos of the place or I can zip them and send them to you?

I took them because i am thinking of doing Mandeville in FSX. (I do a little scenery for OZx).

The yellow area that you are questioning is in fact a two story Brown house wth white triming. Kinda reminds me of a Swiss Chalet. I took some photos of it too.

Cheers.

Tim...
