Ardmore problem

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby cowpatz » Thu Jul 23, 2009 11:01 am

I'm using Real NZ Auckland city and Auckland airports. All works well except for Ardmore which seems to have an elevation issue. Any ideas how to fix? I have no other NZAR scenery installed.

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

A lot of people miss out this step in the install instructions for Auckland Airports ,..........................

QUOTE [ 8) Go into your main FS9 folder and open the "scenery.cfg" file. Find your Auckland Airports or Auckland 2005 section and add this line at the end of it:

Flatten.0=110,S37 1.45,E174 57.57,S37 2.65,E174 57.88,S37 1.92,E174 59.30,S37 1.38,E174 58.92

This flattens the area around Ardmore. Save and close the "scenery.cfg" file.
] UNQUOTE

Also, have a look in FS9 / Addon Scenery / Scenery folder, and make sure you have NO other NZAR AFCADs ( AF2_NZAR.bgl) in there, possibly from GNZLAP if you have that installed.

Yeah I have tried all those Lawrie and still no joy. I did a file search for NZAR and there was only the one AFCAD there.
I dont know why the flatten doesn't work.

It looks like the flatten IS working, but is at the incorrect altitude relative to your mesh. Try raising it a few feet.

Not that I am a scenery expert but would't the flatten cover all of Ardmore and not just the runways?

The change to flatten elevation has no effect at all....odd.
