Have been doing some house cleaning of scenery and have found that I have an addon scenery installed in my main Scenery folder, it is not in the addon folder. Only problem is when I go to move it it says being used by another programme. Where /how can I find this other programme.
Cheers, Adrian.

General rule i put most of my scenery into the Addon Scenery folder except for the paywares such as RealNZ , Aerosoft or the Orbx which create there own independent Brand named folder during install .

Normally only FS would have the files locked when it is running.
There's nothing inherently wrong with addon scenery in your main Scenery folder, so don't be too quick to move stuff around. This is the simplest way to mess up your FS installation.

I whole-heartedly agree with Ian and Robin.
If the scenery is working fine in the sim,.......... leave well-enough alone. It is quite normal.
A large percentage of payware sceneries with auto-installers actually install the scenery into FS's main folder, usually under their "brand" name as Ian mentioned.
Names such as FSAddon, Georender, Aerosoft, Blueprint Simulations, FranceVFR, Imagine Simulation, Lago, MegaCity, SimFlyers, SimMarket, Tropical Sim, Visual Flight, Cloud-9, are a few examples of common "brand" names you may see in there.
You will also find a lot of payware aircraft manufacturers have "brand" named folders in there as well, such as JustFlight, Aeroworx, Captain Sim, Flight-One, HTAI, just to name a couple.
