New Zealand Rural Airstrips Vol-1

A new series of rural airstrips, based on actual locations around New Zealand.
The airstrips are located around the Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and Wairarapa areas.
Sloped runways feature at some locations.

Wasnt me,....... was Godfrey. Im up to my eyeballs in other airports at the moment, NZGS Gisborne (V-2), NZHT Haast, NZAS Ashburton, NZTI Taieri, and also a couple of overseas airports that were requests.

AI cant use a sloping runway in the sim,............ but flyable aircraft can.
The sloping runways are basically courtesy of Christian's grass strips from the NZ Topo Scenery, and the natural slopes from his 20m mesh.
There is no AI at any of the sloping strips, as they require an AFCAD type runway, and the very nature of AFCAD type runways is FLAT.
The AI are only at some of the "flat" strips in the package. The AFCAD itself for the sloping strips contains NO runway, only the location data, and a starting point and a parking spot.
There are a few flattens and tweaks to the mesh around some of the strips as well needless to say.
Any further details and youll have to check with Godfrey.

That's wicked cool! Some would consider that to be a limitation, but I actually think it adds to the appeal - having to hunt the strips down without having a GPS icon to show the orientation of the runway. Much like in real life.

I used Sbuilder for the sloped runways....

Noted the elevation at each end of the runways, then let Sbuilder 'smooth out' a sloping surface.

I've been trying to apply this principle on a ramp for float planes...but no success as yet. I'll maybe try again in the future.
