I believe Rob's working on a new NZAA for FSX but in the meantime, does anyone have anything that looks better than this? Many of the buildings are flat. Airbridges hang in space waiting for passengers to fall out.

I think I lost the default airport when I installed RealNZ Supercity, so I got this one (Ray Smith's) from Avsim. It's pretty tragic compared to many other airports around the country and it should be the biggest and (arguably) best.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Normally 'hanging' airbridges mean that you need to turn up your scenery complexity setting a bit. by the way, Supercity doesn't include any NZAA scenery at all.

Not sure what's happened here. Is "Oceania" enabled? I have Rob's super city, but - as he says - it doesn't touch NZAA. Compared to many FSX default airports , NZAA doesn't fare *too* badly ... but it really does need looking at. Me - I'd love a NZAA/NZWP/NZAR/NZNE all-in-one pack!

Adamski, - you got it! Don't know how it came to be unchecked but clearly that was my problem, - nothing to do with the absolutely fantastic RealNZ Supercity.

Thanks too Rob and Ian for the suggestions.

This is how it looks now, - no more odd airbridges.

I can't believe I actually got something right!!! laugh.gif. How I wish all FSX related problems could be fixed so easily!!!

As a matter of interest, I re-did an the taxiways and stuff for NZAA (removed the old runway etc.). Do a search on Flightsim.com for nzaa_05r_23l.zip. I also put an exclude at the end of 05R to get rid of that ugly default bridge.

Will your tweaks work if I were to use the FS9 nzaa? Presumably I would have to put your tweaks after the FS9 stuff in the scenery priority list.

No harm trying, but I wonder whether FS9 scenery would have problems in FSX anyway?

There's a good freeware NZAA airport coming in sometime later this year, next year or the year after that. unsure.gif

Alot of stuff has been changed and fixed from those WIP screenshots.
